Description

The Native American Rights Fund Internship/Clerkship is available to second year law students who are interested in asserting and defending the rights of Indian tribes, organizations, and individuals nationwide. To be considered for this internship, you should have previous work experience, have natural resources coursework, and be familiar with tribal communities and cultures. As an intern/clerk, you will focus on the preservation of tribal existence; the protection of tribal natural resources; the promotion of Native American human rights; the accountability of governments to Native Americans; and the development of Indian law and educating the public about Indian rights, laws, and issues. Selection is based on resume, legal writing sample, law school transcript, and three references. Internships are offered in Boulder, CO, Washington, DC, and Anchorage, AK.
