The National Guard Memorial Library and Archives Internship is available to undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in library sciences or archival work. As an intern, you will assist with identifying, cataloging, and preserving printed materials relevant to the history of the National Guard. The library’s collection consists of books, periodicals, almanacs, personal papers, and documents. The Archives focuses on the history of the parent organization, the National Guard Association of the United States, and covers its history from 1878 to the present. Specific duties include cataloging, shelving, organizing, and conserving the Library and Archive items, emphasizing web-based finding aides and indices. This internship is located in Washington, DC.
