Description

The Water Pollution Data Management Summer Internship is available to students who are studying or have experience in fisheries/wildlife, agriculture, environmental management, natural resources, geology, biology, or other physical science focus with data management. To be considered for this internship, you should be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and be familiar with environmental laws. As an intern, you will contact and assist permittees with renewal of expired Missouri State Operating Permits, review active enforcement cases and determine the EJ status of communities disproportionately impacted by facilities that have been referred for enforcement action, and enter enforcement milestones in the Department’s database to improve data quality and transfer. You will also identify and enter EPA database code for enforcement actions to prevent accrual of violations as well as generate list of permits with transfers of ownership and completed construction improvements that occurred within the past two years to use for resolving prior violations in EPA’s database. This internship is located in Jefferson City, MO.
