Description

The Food for People Local Food Resources Summer Internship is available to undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in working to address the root causes of hunger at a local level. To be considered for this internship, you must be creative, an enthusiastic learner, able to lift 50 pounds, be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and have reliable transportation. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience with gardening and harvesting produce. As an intern, your duties will include outreach efforts, farm visits and harvests, collection of local food donations, and donor recognition. You will gain also skills in the areas of local food system and food security, program management, building community partnerships, conducting program outreach, and writing about the program. Internships are in the summer in Eureka, CA.
