Description

The Prairie Grouse Conservation Internship is available to recent graduates of studies in wildlife management, conservation biology, or a related scientific discipline. You must hold a valid driver's license, be available to work full-time during the spring, and possess excellent communication and organization skills to be considered for this internship. As an intern, you will take part in the daily feeding, cleaning, diet preparation, visual observations, chick development, and daily assessments of prairie grouse. Healthy chicks are then slotted for future breeding, or for the annual U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service release program. On-site housing and a monthly stipend is available to interns. This internship is located in Glen Rose, TX, and is offered during the spring.
