The Oculus Research Scientist Intelligent Imaging Internship is available to students pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. You must be authorized to work in the U.S., have experience in programming (C/C++ or Python), and have experience in developing hardware using Verilog or high-level synthesis (HLS) to be considered for this internship. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience taping out and characterizing ASICs, system prototyping using FPGAs, ASIC development using tools such as Synopsys Design Compiler, IC Compiler, or Cadence Innovus, and working in machine learning frameworks PyTorch or TensorFlow. As an intern, your responsibilities will include prototyping, building, and characterizing experimental systems and custom hardware on ASICs and FPGAs, designing/executing algorithm optimization and/or hardware architecture design, and collaborating with and supporting other researchers across various disciplines. This internship is located in Sunnyvale, CA, and Redmond, WA. Average monthly compensation for a Meta Intern is $8,000.
