The Meta Research Scientist Statistics And Privacy Internship is available to students who have obtained a Master's degree or are pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or other quantitative fields. You must be authorized to work in the U.S., have an understanding of modern machine learning techniques and their mathematical underpinning, be proficient in designing and implementing analytical and/or algorithmic solutions, and have experience with Python to be considered for this internship. Additionally, you must have expertise with at least one of the following privacy technologies: Secure multi-party computation techniques, Differential privacy, Federated Learning, optimization algorithms and protocols, Learning on encrypted data, Homomorphic encryption, Trusted execution environments. As an intern, you will Identify high-impact opportunities to build new and improve existing advertising and commerce solutions, assess the validity and rigor of new approaches, and design and prototype new algorithms, optimization methods, and system architectures. You will also build cross-functional relationships with AI, Engineering, Product and Analytics teams to shape long-term roadmaps with a balance of scientific rigor and strategic considerations. This internship is offered at various locations in the U.S. as well as remotely. Average monthly compensation for a Meta Intern is $8,000.
