Description

The Denver Element Internship is available to undergraduate and graduate level students. You must be enrolled in a human services, counseling, or social work degree program to be eligible for this internship. Applicants should have interest in working with working with the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals living with HIV, people experiencing homelessness/experiencing financial instability, and individuals involved in the criminal justice system. As an intern, you will receive weekly individual and group supervision from a Licensed Professional Counselor/Addictions Counselor/Social Worker, provide evaluations/assessments, do group/individual counseling, perform case management, learn DAP style clinical documentation, DSM-5 diagnosis, Medicaid billing requirements, and treatment planning in a positive and supportive environment. Internships run year-round and require a minimum commitment of 3-4 months.
