Description

The Library and Research Internship is available to students enrolled in a Master’s-level degree program in the social sciences (sociology or other social science), marketing research, statistics or analytics, research, library and information science, or a related field at an accredited college or university. You must have excellent oral and written communication skills, knowledge of library research databases, proficiency with Microsoft Office, excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues creatively and independently to be considered for this position. As an intern, you will synthesize research findings from AARP’s collection of resources, including primary and secondary research, surveys, consumer and market research databases, academic journals. Additionally, you will create data visualizations, provide face-to-face interactions at the Library’s Reference Desk when in the office, and assist with special projects and marketing internal library events. This internship is located in Washington, DC.
