Description

The Fisheries Independent Monitoring Intern is available to a current student who has successfully completed introductory coursework in some of the following areas: environmental science, chemistry, marine science, geology or biology. You must be willing to perform strenuous physical activities (including heavy lifting at least 50 pounds) under sometimes arduous conditions (hot weather, bugs, and/or heavy seas) and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to be considered for this position. As an intern, you will participate in fisheries-independent sampling in rivers, bays, and nearshore areas to evaluate relative stock abundance and condition.
