Inpatient Psychiatric Unit Internship

Description

The Inpatient Psychiatric Unit Internship is available to students interested in psychiatry. You must be a junior or senior student at the University of Washington, Seattle Pacific University or Seattle University to qualify for this position. Interns will learn about the day-to-day operations of a pediatric acute care inpatient psychiatric facility from a floor-level perspective. Interns will spend an 8-hour shift each week paired with bachelor's-level staff (coaches) working directly with patients, specifically learning how to support patients through skill development and coaching. Each internship lasts ten weeks.
