Wilmington University is a private, non-profit educational institution, with its main campus located in New Castle near Wilmington, Delaware. It was founded in 1968 as Wilmington College and was granted university status on September 10, 2007, after approval by the Board of Trustees and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Currently its student body totals over 15,000 students.
