New York Film Academy - School of Film and Acting (NYFA) is an international film school and acting school based in New York City. It was originally located at the Tribeca Film Center. In 1994, NYFA moved to Union Square, in a large building which once housed the New York political machine Tammany Hall. As of 2012, the school has 400+ employees and over 6,000 students per year.[citation needed] NYFA offers Master's, Bachelor's, and Associate's Degrees, as well as 1 and 2-Year Conservatory programs and short-term workshops in Filmmaking, Acting for Film, Photography, 3D Animation, Game Design, Producing, Screenwriting, Digital Filmmaking, Cinematography, Documentary, Broadcast Journalism, Musical Theatre, Music Video and Digital Editing programs at various locations throughout the world.
