Boricua College is a post-secondary educational institution located in New York City in the United States. The college was designed to serve the educational needs of Puerto Ricans and other Hispanics.
The school employs a largely bilingual faculty of 130 full-time and 100 part-time members. It serves a student population of 1,200.
The college has four campuses: at Audubon Terrace in Washington Heights, Manhattan; in North Williamsburg, Brooklyn; in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn; and in the Bronx.
Boricua College counts New York State Assemblyman Felix Ortiz, a Democrat representing the 51st Assembly District, as one of its alumni. Distinguished Puerto Rican and Nuyorican intellectuals and writers such as Pedro Pietri and Giannina Braschi have given readings of their seminal works to Boricua College students and faculty over the years.
