Description
The Kermit B. Nash Academic Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors who have sickle cell disease. You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, be attending a four-year accredited college, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA (unless special hardship is demonstrated) to be eligible for this award. Selection is based on academic achievement and promise, SAT scores, leadership and community service, quality of required essay, and severity of academic challenges/obstacles posed by sickle cell disease. Students with sickle cell trait are not eligible.
