The William T. Piper, Sr. Graduate Award in General Aviation Systems is open to M.S., M.A., or Ph.D. students pursuing space-based research at an accredited college or university. You must be actively participating in research endeavors in general aviation as part of your graduate studies and have completed at least one academic year of full-time graduate college work with a minimum 3.3 GPA to qualify. You need not be an AIAA student member in good standing to apply for this award, but you must become one before receiving a scholarship. You must submit a research plan, an essay describing your career objectives, and three letters of recommendation to be considered for this award.
