Description
The Vice Admiral Edwin B. Hooper Research Grant is open Ph.D. degree-holding students who are interested in committing themselves to work on a study of U.S. naval history, intended for publication. You must be a United States citizen, have received your Ph.D. from an accredited university no later than January 31, 2009, and submit two letters of recommendation to be eligible for this award. All applicants will be evaluated on evidence of ability, including previous scholarship, the letters of recommendation, and upon the nature of the proposed research and its potential contribution to modern scholarship on the history of the United States Navy.
