Description

The Community-Oriented Digital Engagement Scholars (CODES) Scholarship is available to incoming freshman students at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, who are interested in research and committed to community activism. To be eligible for this award, you should meet one of the following: first-generation student; historically underrepresented in your major; or determined to be Pell-eligible based on the FAFSA or IL RISE Application. You must also maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5. Working alongside the Missouri Botanical Garden, St. Louis Art Place Initiative, The City of Alton, and Heartlands Conservancy, CODE Scholars tackle educational equity, systemic violence, and a growing loss of biodiversity along the Mississippi River.
