Description

The Brookings Institution American Congress and Government Internship is available to undergraduate students in their junior or senior year working towards a degree in public policy, political science, or related fields, and to graduate students pursuing a masters degree in these fields. To be considered for this role, you should have a demonstrated interest in American politics and policy, congress and congressional reform, fiscal and monetary politics and policy, and/or electoral politics. You should possess strong writing, analytic, and internet-based research skills and have experience with fact-checking, summarizing new information, creating literature reviews, data collection, data management and tools including Excel, Stata, R, and/or Python. As an intern, you will spend approximately 12 weeks working alongside leading experts in government and academia from all over the world. Interns will have the opportunity to attend meetings, think tank events, professional development workshops, intern networking events, and public Brookings events. This internship is offered in Washington, DC, with the possibility of working remotely depending on state of residency.
