The Banfield Pet Hospital NextVet Internship for High School Students is available to high school students who are 16 years of age and older. To be considered for this opportunity, you should love science, have an interest in animal careers, be curious and a self-starter, and be proficient at multi-tasking, including cuddling a kitten while giving them a scratch behind the ears. As an intern, you will spend most of your time behind-the-scenes at a veterinary hospital, where you’ll see the team in action and have an opportunity to shadow a range of positions including veterinarians and credentialed veterinary technicians. You’ll also participate virtually in small group sessions exploring many aspects of the veterinary industry, receive ongoing support from our local doctors and market leaders, and have a chance to connect with Banfield senior executives.
