Description

The Summer Internship is open to college students and recent high school graduates. Intern duties may include organizing the Society’s collection, learning the museum software program, assisting with event planning, conducting research, assisting with general office tasks and other duties as needed. Learn and utilize interpersonal skills while working with the public: greeting visitors, answering questions, assisting with research, and directing visitors to the museum.You must demonstrate strong organizational skills, computer skills, and an ability to work independently are preferred, as is an interest in history and working with the local community. The internship is eight weeks beginning around June 13th. Salary is $2,500. Hours of work are Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 9am – 4pm, Saturdays 9am – 12pm, and two Sunday events.
