Description

The Sierra Club Maine Chapter 30x30 Remote Internship is available to students with Geospatial (GIS) Analysis and Software Development experience or coursework. To be considered for this internship, you should be a creative-thinker, have basis design experience, and are able to work independently and as part of a team. Additionally, you should be able to read and analyze scientific and government reports, be passionate about conservation, and have helped to organize and facilitate past events or meetings. As an intern, you will assist with the Chapter’s 30x30 campaign work, including coalition building, communications, and GIS mapping. This position will work with national organizers, chapter staff, and chapter volunteers to ensure effective grassroots organizing strategy that is aligned with our campaign goals and values and that we practice the Jemez Principles and center organizational Equity Values within the organizing work. This internship is offered remotely and runs for 10 weeks from January - May.
