Description

The ACLU National Policy Advocacy Justice Division Internship is available to sophomore-level and above undergraduate students who are committed to civil liberties, civil rights, and social justice. You must be proficient in Microsoft Office and possess excellent research, writing, organizational, and communication skills to be considered for this internship. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience with campaigns. As an intern, you will focus on building clemency infrastructure resources for ACLU affiliates, preparing advocacy and public education materials, monitoring social media for clemency and bail related posts, drafting memorandum and partner correspondence, and monitoring legal and legislative developments in state legislatures and on Capitol Hill. This internship is located in Washington, DC, and is also offered remotely.
