Description

The Country Music Hall Of Fame Collections Internship-Fall is available to graduate students who are pursuing a master’s degree or higher in library and information science, history, public history, museum studies, or other related field. You must have experience with PastPerfect (or a similar collections management software) and Microsoft Office to be considered for this internship. Additionally, you must have basic knowledge of photography, experience handling fragile/rare archival materials, and familiarity with collection management inventory and best practices. As an intern, you will work closely with the team of registrars who focus on collections processing, research, storage, and care. You will assist with organizing, photographing, and cataloging artifacts in the Museum’s collection, including, but not limited to, awards, clothing and accessories, document collections, and memorabilia. You will also learn and use collections and digital content management software, providing qualitative improvements to collections information and improving its accessibility for prospective researchers. This internship is located in Nashville, TN.
