The Gallery Management Internship at the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture is available to undergraduate students. You must be of a group underrepresented in museums and visual arts organizations, reside in Los Angeles County, and be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or have DACA status to be eligible for this internship. Applicants must have an enthusiasm for art, arts education, museum studies, or art history. You must also have familiarity with Mac computers, Microsoft Office, social media tools, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. As an intern, you will assist with the deinstallation and installation of one or more exhibitions in the gallery, coordinate and communicate with artists and curators, gain experience in the administrative management of gallery operations (artist contracts, registrar duties), execute exhibitions programming, and assist with special projects as needed. This internship is located in Los Angeles, CA.
