Youth Ministry Internship

Available to: College Freshman through Graduate Students, Year 5 Award Amount: $5,550

Provided by City Vision Internship Program, the Youth Ministry Internship is available to students who are at least 18 years of age, are U.S. citizens and are currently enrolled in college or a GED program to be considered for this internship.

Intern duties include mentoring, coordinating volunteers, tutoring, college prep, conducting community and parent outreach, planning college visits and workshops as directed.

Volunteer Programming Internship

Available to: College Freshman through College Juniors

The Volunteer Programming Internship is available to students with an interest in civic engagement, volunteer administration, communications, adult development, human resources, education, psychology and other social sciences.

Intern duties may include assisting with volunteer appreciation events, developing volunteer opportunities, assisting with communications and marketing, writing newsletters and other duties as needed.

You must have completed at least two years of undergraduate study, have strong analytic, organizational, communication and problem solving skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office in order to be considered for this internship.

Conservation Training Internship

Available to: College Freshman through College Senior Provided by the Sierra Club, the Conservation Training Internship is available to candidates currently working to get an MBA or a degree in nonprofit management, organizational development and/or adult education.

You must have skills in writing, editing, producing documents, online collaborative tools, web design and excel dashboards and data analysis to be eligible for this award.

Intern duties may require you to engage as an architect and builder of a program to engage thousands of leaders and volunteers across the country.

Citizens’ Environment Coalition Environmental Internship

Available to: College Freshman through College Senior The CEC Volunteer Internship is available to students who are interested in environmental issues within a non-profit setting.

Internship duties include researching and writing environmental reports, guidance manuals, and fact sheets.

You must demonstrate an interest in pollution and dedication to environmental protection and possess excellent written and oral communication skills to be eligible for this internship.

Global Hunger Conference Planner

Available to: College Junior through College Senior Provided by The Global FoodBanking Network, The Global Hunger Conference Planner is available to current undergraduate and graduate students.

Intern duties may include research and identify corporations/organizations who have a presence in countries where GFN works, brainstorm and develop employee volunteer and giving programs to be considered for this internship.

City Year – Volunteer for America

Available to: College Freshman through Graduate Student, Year 5

City Year, a proud member of AmeriCorps, is a national service organization that brings together young adults from diverse backgrounds for a demanding ten months of full-time community service, leadership development, and civic engagement. In 20 locations across the United States, these young leaders invest their talents and energy to address our country’s most critical needs.

City Year corps members engage others in service and make a positive difference in their communities and in the lives of children and youth. Corps members also receive a weekly living stipend and basic health insurance.

Eligibility Requirements: Must be between the ages of 17-24 and a United States citizen or permanent resident alien. High school graduate/G.E.D. recipient OR agreement to pursue a G.E.D.

If you do not have a H.S. diploma or its equivalency, you will be required to take a basic academic proficiency test; your position is contingent upon satisfactory testing results.

Global Leadership Program in Prague

Available to: College Freshman through Graduate Student, Year 5

The Global Leadership Program in Prague is open to students from around the world who are interested in participating in a four-week program in Prague, Czech Republic, that includes: university courses, cultural activities and community service.

Prospective students are evaluated based on the quality of application and may be contacted for an interview.

Road To Recovery Internship

Available to: College Sophomore through Graduate Students, Year 2

The Road To Recovery Internship is available to full-time students.

Interns will collaboratively manage and monitor requests for Road to Recovery services with American Cancer Society Staff partners, and work closely with the volunteer drivers to provide lifesaving transportation assistance to and from cancer – related appointments.

Interns will also work hand-in-hand in assisting ACS with ongoing program assessment, as well as overall volunteer and community management as it relates to the Road to Recovery program.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) General Office Internship

Available to: College Freshman through Graduate Student, Year 5

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) General Office Internship is available to students who are at least 18 years old.

You must be signed up for PETA’s Action Team and have at least one year of work or volunteer experience to qualify for this award.

Additionally, you must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and have a commitment to the objectives of the organization to qualify for this award.

A cover letter, resume and three letters of recommendation is required.

Bonner Leader Program

The Bonner Leader Program is available to entering first-year students at participating colleges (a complete list of participating schools is located on the Bonner Foundation Web site).

You must demonstrate high financial need and have an interest in community service and social justice issues to be eligible for this award.

Bonner Leaders will be expected to serve an average of 10 hours of community service each week during the school year and participate in other Bonner Leaders activities.

Taxpayers for Common Sense Internship

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 2

The Taxpayers for Common Sense Internship is available to students with an interest in government spending and policy making. In your work you will gain a broad perspective of policy-making in Congress and the Executive Branch as well as experience with media campaigns and grassroots organizing.

The following areas of interest are available: national security, water policy, communications, and resource policy and organization development. You must demonstrate strong written and oral communications skills to be eligible for this position. A cover letter, resume, writing sample and two references are required to apply.

Bicycle Advocacy Communications Intern
