Home to many historic sites, USMA
overlooks the Hudson River and is about 50 miles north of New York City. The campus is actually popular amongst tourists since it is home to the oldest United States Army museum.
Tuition is funded by the Army in exchange for active duty, so the 1,300 students that enter each July are cadets or officers-in-training. Those looking for admission must apply to the academy
as well as receive a congressional nomination.
Discipline is key: students adhere to a strict Cadet Honor Code, which states that "a cadet will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do."
Cadets earn a Bachelor of Science degree, with curriculum
focusing on academics, military leadership performances and competitive athletics.
