Lester G. Benz Memorial Scholarship for College Journalism Study

Description

The Lester G. Bens Memorial Scholarship for College Journalism Study is available to high school journalism teachers and newspaper and yearbook advisors who have had at least six semesters of journalism courses and a minimum of four years of teaching experience. This award supports experienced journalism teachers and advisors who seek the opportunity to upgrade their journalism skills, teaching methodologies and advising techniques through continued education. You must take course work beyond the introductory level to be considered for this award. You must also make a definite commitment to return to the high school classroom and publication advising next year to apply the information you gained.
