Editorial Internship

Description

The Editorial Internship is available to undergraduate students and college graduates who have completed or are pursuing a degree in English, Creative Writing, or related field. In order to be considered for this award, you must have knowledge of contemporary literature, ability to commit to 16–24 hours per week for 4–6 months, have experience in copy-editing and proofreading; knowledge of copy-editing/proofreading symbols, have a self-starting attitude and ability to maintain deadlines, multi-task, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment without close supervision, excellent written and verbal communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, and Windows 10 and 11, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and significant knowledge of grammar, syntax, and style. As an intern, you will be assisting with submission management, such as reading and evaluating submissions, and sending rejections and query responses; copy editing, proofreading, fact-checking, checking corrections to, and otherwise preparing manuscripts for layout; copy editing and proofreading Marketing & Publicity materials and other responsibilities as necessary.
