The George W. Jenkins Scholarship is available to incoming freshman students at Emory University who are U.S. citizens and residents of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Selection is based on academic merit, financial need, and a sincere interest in service and enhancing community engagement. This award provides full tuition, fees, on-campus housing, a meal plan, a Mac laptop at the start of the first year, a yearly $2000 stipend, and, if needed, student health insurance. In addition, awarded students can be reimbursed for up to $2500 in expenses related to travel for an Alternative Break service trip through Emory University once during their college experience. Recipients receive eight semesters of funding.
