The Humane World Programs and Policy Remote Fellowship is open to students who have obtained a bachelor's degree in communications, science (wildlife, psychology, zoology, etc.), public policy, or another related field. To be considered for this role, you should have a general understanding of the regulatory and legislative process, a passion for social justice and community building, and strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite. You should also possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and research skills. A minimum of one year of experience in public policy, communications, research, advocacy, nonprofit operations, or another related field preferred. As an intern, you will contribute to public policy efforts, research, coalition building, and cross-functional projects that drive meaningful impact for animals. You will also help integrate community-building and belonging practices into assigned campaigns, ensuring programs and policies are culturally responsive, inclusive, and reflective of diverse perspectives. This position plays an important role in strengthening a more welcoming and effective animal protection movement for people of all backgrounds and is offered on a fully-remote basis.
