Description

The USMA Pre-Medical School Scholarship Program is designed for cadets who want to become Army physicians after graduation. This program helps students prepare academically, professionally, and competitively for medical school while completing their West Point education. Up to two - three percent of each graduating class (roughly 20 cadets) can go directly from West Point to medical school after graduation. Students can major in almost any field, but they must complete required pre-med coursework such as biology, organic chemistry, physiology, and biochemistry. Cadets receive mentorship, MCAT preparation support, physician shadowing opportunities, research experiences, and medical internships. To qualify for endorsement, cadets generally need at least a 3.2 GPA and a 500 MCAT score, along with strong leadership, military performance, service, and interview results.
