The Cech Fellows Program is open to rising junior and senior-level undergraduate students enrolled full-time at an accredited US institution at the time of the program’s start date. To be eligible for this program, you must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or visa holder. You should also have a strong interest in lab research. As a fellow, you will work full time conducting research and contributing to ongoing projects in an HHMI laboratory. You will learn and practice new techniques and approaches in disciplines such as cell biology, genetics, neuroscience, and more. You will work closely with and be mentored by exceptional scientists, from lab heads to PhD students and will build critical thinking and communication skills necessary for future research careers. Selected participants receive a stipend to support summer travel, housing, and living expenses.
