Description

The Leading the Dream Advocacy Remote Fellowship is open to students who are deeply committed to UWD’s mission, curious, resourceful, interested in learning the mechanics of federal policymaking, and eager to contribute to advocacy campaigns that elevate the voices of immigrant youth. You should have a strong understanding of the immigrant experience to be considered for this role. As an intern, you will receive training on federal, state and local advocacy, learning how to research, develop, and support the implementation of advocacy campaigns that advance immigration justice goals at all levels of government. This training will focus on levers of power and influence with governments, protecting immigrant communities from deportation and detention, and advancing pro-immigrant policies through legislative and administrative advocacy. This fellowship is offered on a fully-remote basis.
