Description

The GOYA Opportunity Award is available to junior and senior-level undergraduate students at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) who are majoring in ceramics, drawing, fiber, general fine art, Interdisciplinary sculpture, painting, photography or printmaking. To be eligible for this fellowship, you must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and demonstrate financial need. Applicants should be engaging in an ambitious, substantive, and unique fine art opportunity that will advance their artistic practice and career in the fine arts. Past examples include internships with practicing artists, galleries, studio apprenticeships, artist residencies, etc. The purpose of the fellowship is to allow students to engage in a valuable and ambitious summer fine art experience of their own design and to make meaningful learning experiences possible that might otherwise be unattainable.
