Description

The Scholarship Award for Volunteer Excellence (SAVE) is open to high school seniors in New Jersey who plan to attend an accredited college, university, technical or trade school in the semester following their anticipated spring/summer graduation of the same year. To be eligible for this award, you must have a strong record of volunteerism in the community at nonprofit organization and/or school sponsored activities and participation in extracurricular school activities/clubs. Selection is based on a 250- to 500-word essay discussing what community service means to you and how it has shaped you. Additionally, a letter of recommendation and academic transcript is required.
