South Carolina Teaching Fellows Program
Center for Educator Recruitment, Retention, and Advancement (CERRA)
The South Carolina Teaching Fellows Program is open to high school senior students who are residents of South Carolina and U.S. citizens/eligible non-citizens. Selected recipients receive a yearly scholarship while they attend a Teaching Fellows Institution and pursue a degree that will lead to initial teacher certification and are provided numerous professional development and leadership opportunities above those offered through the institution’s teacher preparation program. Participants are also are involved with communities and businesses through various service projects and partnerships with local schools. As a condition of the program, participants must agree to teach in a South Carolina public school one year for every year they receive the fellowship.
