Appalachian Sound Archives Fellowship Program

The Appalachian Sound Archives Fellowship Program is open to students with a background and interest in the subject area of Appalachian music. To be eligible for this award, you must submit a proposal with details about your project and anticipated usage of the collections. This position is for scholarly use of Berea's non- commercial audio collections that document Appalachian history and culture, especially in the areas of traditional music, religious expression, spoken lore, and radio programs. Awards in support of related projects are made for a period of one to three months. You must be in residence during the term of the fellowship. Fellows will receive a $3,000 monthly stipend.
