Description
The I.H. McLendon Memorial Scholarship is open to high school seniors who have sickle cell disease. You must be a resident of Connecticut entering an accredited institution as a full-time student. Other requirements include: be in the top 1/3 of your graduating class, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, participate in extracurricular activities and demonstrate good citizenship. You must submit your high school transcript, a physician's letter identifying the sickling condition, three letters of recommendation and a personal statement.
