The Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship in the Humanities is available to a postdoctoral scholar or a Ph.D. candidate working in a reservation-based community, on a tribal college faculty or as a librarian or curator at an American Indian cultural center or museum outside the Chicago area. You may conduct research in any aspect of American Indian studies supported by Newberry collections. This short-term award supports one to three months of residential research at the Newberry and carries a stipend of $3000 per month plus up to $1000 in travel expenses.
