According to the World Health Organization (WHO), roughly 62 million tons of e-waste was produced globally – and only 22% of that was recycled properly. E-waste, if disposed of unsuitably, can have severe and adverse effects on the environment and people.
The first step to combatting this global problem is education. Through the $1K E-Waste Scholarship students can educate themselves and others about e-waste, and more importantly, how to treat it appropriately.

The Fastweb database is full of awards for various causes. In fact, non-for-profit organizations comprise quite a bit of the scholarship market. If there is a cause you're particularly passionate about or have been involved, make sure that it's reflected in your Fastweb profile.
Our matching algorithm takes the search out of your scholarship search. By providing us with details about where you live, what you're involved in, and what you plan to study, we'll be able to find scholarships for which you qualify. Creating and updating your Fastweb profile is the easiest way to simplify paying for college.
Remember that the scholarship search doesn't end once you're accepted to a college. Keep your Fastweb profile throughout your college and graduate school years. We will continue to match you to award opportunities for which you meet the eligibility requirements.
