The Internship in Armenia is open to Armenian-American students who are interested in living and working in Armenia. This eight-week internship program places interns in Armenian governmental offices and inter-governmental agencies.

Minority Internship – Smithsonian Institution

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 1

Deadline: 2/01/2018

The Minority Internship is available to minority undergraduate and graduate students in the disciplines of research conducted at the Institution. Stipend awards are available for interns to participate in supervised ongoing research, or museum- related activities for periods of ten weeks.

Garden Club of America Internship in Garden History and Design

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 1

The Garden Club of America Internship in Garden History and Design is available to undergraduate and graduate students studying landscape history and design. Preference is given to a researcher who is interested in working at the Archives of American Gardens (AAG) at the Smithsonian Institution. You must be studying horticulture, ornamental horticulture, landscape design, and related fields. The term of the internship is 10 to 16 weeks. US National Central Bureau of INTERPOL Internship

Available to: College Juniors through College Seniors

Deadline: 2/12/2018

The US National Central Bureau of INTERPOL Internship is available to students with an interest in national and international law enforcement. You must be a junior or senior college student seeking to gain knowledge and experience of the criminal justice system and its domestic and international scope. You will assist in the processing of routine criminal record check information while working in one of six divisions: Alien/Fugitive, Drug, Economic Crime, Investigative Services, Terrorism/Violent Crime and State and Local Police Liaison. Knowledge of computers, word processing, office machines and good writing skills are required to qualify for this position. French or Spanish language ability is desirable.

Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute Museum Internship

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5

Deadline: 3/01/2018

The Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute Museum Internship is open to college and graduate students interested in learning museum operations and about museum-related careers. Opportunities may exist to work with upper-level supervisors of departments in curatorial, museum education, collections management, or exhibition installation. Both general and summer internships are available, with summer interns working at least 15 hours per week for a minimum of 3 weeks. Housing may be available for qualified interns.

Billy Watson Internship Program

The Billy Watson Internship Program is open to outstanding journalism students to participate in a 10-week paid summer internship at a GPA member newspaper. Internships can be used for any phase of newspaper production, including advertising, editorial, circulation/marketing, on-line publishing and pre-press production.

Animal Care Internship

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5

The Animal Care Internship is available to students interested in working with the Animal Care Department at the Cincinnati Zoo. Interns will gain experience in providing for the needs of exotic animals in captivity and acquire better understanding of the requirements of these animals. You will have the opportunity to work under the supervision of experienced animal keepers to help maintain the animal collection by preparing diets, cleaning exhibits, shifting animals, and monitoring the health of the collection.

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange Internships are available in the following areas: technology, corporate development and finance, clearing, marketing, products and services, operations, and human resources. Arms Control Association Research Internship

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5

The Arms Control Association Research Internship is open to individuals interested in arms control research. Interns are involved in many facets of ACA’s work including: researching arms control and security issues for articles and fact sheets; assisting in preparing and editing ACA’s monthly journal Arms Control Today; monitoring activity in the press and on Capitol Hill; and supporting the analysts in a variety of administrative tasks. Interns are encouraged to engage in substantive discussions with ACA analysts in order to gain a deeper understanding of the arms control field. DCCC Communications Internship

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Communications Internship is open to students. The intern would assist the Press Assistant in maintaining district specific lists of media outlets, sending out press releases, and monitoring media coverage. The intern would also provide daily administrative support for the Communications Director and the department as a whole.

NPR Internship

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5

Deadline: Rolling

The NPR Internship is available to graduate students, undergraduate students and students who have graduated from college within 12 months of beginning the internship. Interns are expected to work 20 to 40 hours a week during an eight to 12 week internship period. Internships are offered in the summer, fall, and spring/winter semesters. This internship provides the opportunity to learn about broadcasting and the supporting areas of NPR. There are many different areas to intern – please specify when applying.

The American Rivers Internship is available to students interested in conservation policy, environmental protection, legislative issues, online community development, public relations or communications, or resource development. South Carolina Aquarium – Biologist Internship

Available to: College Sophomores through College Seniors

The South Carolina Aquarium on Charleston Harbor offers a Biologist Internship for college students who are interested in aquatic biology. You must be majoring in biology, marine biology, ecology or science to be eligible for this internship. Interns may work with the lab, plants, birds, herps, otters and/or fishes, learn husbandry techniques, and be responsible for maintaining specimen health, exhibit aesthetics, life support systems, and work areas. SCUBA certified divers may get underwater experience. You must be able to work 16 hours per week for at least 12 weeks. Preference is given to students in their senior year.

The Alley Theatre Professional Internship Program is open to college and graduate students who are interested in gaining experience in the professional theatre environment. Participants attend performances and dress rehearsals, work with staff supervisors on project-based operations, and meet with other interns to share experiences and learn about other areas of theatre.
