The SATW Teen Travel Writing Scholarship is open to teenagers who have had an interesting travel experience with the family -- whether wonderful or terrible but funny.
Each applicant is asked to write an essay, no more than 600 words, on your family vacation -- where you went and what it meant to you, what worked and what didn't, what you learned from the trip, or how it changed you. The contest encourages applications to use photos and videos to supplement the written aspect of the vacation story.
Applicants must be ages 13-18 and attending grades 8-12 as of June 27, 2011. Graduating seniors are only eligible if you submit your completed travel blog on or before June 27, 2011.
