Dolly Parton is the Queen of Country – and the Queen of giving back. 1n 1988, she created The Dollywood Foundation, and since it’s inception, she has distributed millions of free books to children around the country through her Imagination Library campaign as well as thousands of dollars in scholarships.
In the spirit of giving back, the BMI Foundation created the Dolly Parton Songwriters Award for aspiring musicians and lyricists. This nationwide grant program covers study costs, instrument purchases, recording costs, or other professional expenses.
