The Center for Inspired Teaching - Teaching and Learning Internship is available to students who are interested in, and committed to education and working with economically disadvantaged youth. Interns will work with the Research Specialist to carry out internal program evaluation and engage in all aspects of the research process including study design, data analysis, writing, and publication.
Responsibilities include providing support in the preparation and execution of teacher education courses, providing ongoing logistical support to teacher-participants, developing and maintaining files for Inspired Teaching Fellows, creating and distributing a bi-weekly e-newsletter, managing logistical preparations, providing general administrative support, and other duties as needed.
Qualifications include excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding organizational skills and the ability to juggle and prioritize many tasks and responsibilities at one time, great attention to detail, self-motivated, with a strong capacity for independent work, the ability to set and meet his/her own deadlines, be comfortable acting quickly when presented with unexpected tasks, and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Macintosh.
