AMC Youth Opportunities Program Internship

Description

The Youth Opportunities Program Internship is available to students at the offices of the Appalachian Mountain Club. You will work to make the outdoors more accessible and meaningful to at-risk and urban youth as well as assist youth workers and other organizations. You may be involved in developing the curriculum, providing trip planning support, researching and evaluating program effectiveness, working in the equipment room, writing and editing newsletters and program materials, conducting outreach, record keeping and analysis, helping youth groups with outdoor trips and coordinating logistics for workshops and trainings. You must have excellent communications skills and creativity and a familiarity with outdoor recreational opportunities to be eligible for this award.
