The Loggerhead Marinelife Center Education High School Internship is available to high school students 16 years of age and older who have a demonstrated passion and interest in the environment and marine conservation. To be considered for this role, you must be comfortable speaking with the general public and engaging with guests of all ages, backgrounds, and learning abilities. Additionally, you should be able to work in varying weather conditions and desire to spread awareness of marine science education through interactive and educational programming. Interns will work with the education team to prepare, implement and create interactive public and school outreach programs centered on marine science topics. This includes the setup and breakdown of program materials, assisting with inventory, specimen collections, presenting to the public and other duties as needed. Interns can expect to learn the best practices in interpretative guiding and environmental education development. This internship is offered in Juno, FL, during the school year.
