The Brookings Institution Transportation Policy Research Internship is open to juniors, seniors and graduate students who are interested in transportation and infrastructure policy. To be considered for this role, you should possess excellent research and writing skills and have experience with data management and visualization, preferably with Excel, R, and ArcGIS. Some demonstrated interest in urban policy and built environment issues is preferred. During this 12-week program, selected interns will directly support a range of projects studying transportation policy issues. Interns will work alongside metro scholars, assisting with research and writing, gathering information from literature, data sets, and local and state practitioners for use in blog posts, reports, or briefs. Interns will also perform administrative work, coordinating stakeholder meetings and supporting impact.
