Description

The Lehigh Valley Health Pharmacy Internship is open to pre-pharmacy and pharmacy students who possess strong math and computer skills. Preference may be given to applicants who have knowledge of inventory control, brand name/generic medications, and ability to use pharmacy automation. As an intern, you will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information to process prescriptions and will assist the pharmacists in performing technical duties related to the distribution of drugs to patients. You will monitor medication inventory levels and places orders to restock and develop strong relationships with colleagues and customers You will also support pharmacological services by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, placing and expediting orders, reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, compounding sterile and non-sterile products, and other pharmaceutical therapies. This internship is offered in East Stroudsburg, PA.
