Description

The Humana Home Health Nurse Internship is open to students enrolled in an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, with an expected graduation date within the next year. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver's license, have completed at least one clinical rotation in an acute care setting and/or previous experience in home health/hospice/community-based care, and possess Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association that must be active for the duration of internship. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain direct clinical experience in the home environment by assisting with essential patient care tasks such as measuring vital signs, performing physical assessments, supporting wound management, and providing Foley catheter care —all under the guidance of experienced registered nurses. This eight-week internship aims to enhance clinical assessment skills, foster compassionate communication, and offer exposure to the continuum of care outside traditional hospital settings and is offered in various locations.
